ElectroClear - Advanced Water Treatment for Vegetable Washing Plants
Our ElectroClear system is a state-of-the-art water treatment technology designed specifically for vegetable washing plants. It comprises three key components: the Electrocoagulation Chamber (EC Chamber), Mixing Tank, and Lamella. ElectroClear serves as the final stage of Wyma's comprehensive water treatment system, following the removal of organics and large sand particles through a Micron Filter and the elimination of fine sands and silt by our Mud Tower.
How ElectroClear Works: Harnessing the Power of Electrocoagulation
Electrocoagulation, a highly efficient wastewater treatment process, is at the core of our ElectroClear unit. By utilizing electricity and sacrificial metal plates, this method effectively treats wastewater. Our ElectroClear system features steel electrodes that are subjected to a direct current. Through this electrolysis reaction, metal ions are released into the wastewater, facilitating interaction with suspended particles. As a result, these particles coagulate, forming larger flocs that can be easily separated.
To facilitate the separation of flocs, the treated wastewater is mixed and then allowed to settle in the Lamella clarifier which enables heavy particles to settle out, further enhancing the purification process.
ElectroClear proves highly effective in removing suspended solids and significantly reducing contaminants such as E-Coli, Phosphorous, Nitrates, BOD, and COD.

The Advantages of ElectroClear: Compact, Robust, and Cost-Effective
The ElectroClear System stands out for its compact and robust design, ensuring easy installation and operation. With minimal maintenance requirements and no operator required, it offers a cost-effective solution for wastewater treatment. The settings of the EC Chamber can be tailored to suit specific wastewater conditions, ensuring optimal performance. By embracing this technology, customers can minimise their environmental footprint, conserve water resources, and meet regulatory standards for wastewater discharge.
