The Wyma Vege-Polisher™ is the most effective vegetable polishing system in the world, suitable for washing and polishing a variety of produce including potatoes, carrots, parsnips, swedes, turnips, beetroot, celeriac etc... More than 800 polishers have been sold since the mid 1990s, into 40+ countries around the globe.
The polishing performance is achieved with: Rotary brush technology that was invented by Wyma in the 1990s. This technology is based on the traditional drum washing agitation. However, the drum is made from rows of brushes that counter rotate to the drum. This separate drum and brush process offers control over the polishing intensity. Exclusive and customisable brushes. Wyma match brush specifications to produce, operating conditions and polishing requirements.
The Wyma Vege-Polisher™ can considerably improve the appearance of your fresh vegetables, resulting in a greater percentage of packed premium produce and an increased presence on retailers' shelves. Our experience with the rotary brush drum technology and brush specifications, combine to ensure vegetables are washed and polished to the highest retailing standards.
Produce enters through a large in-feed chute and is directed onto soft nylon brushes. Inside the drum, produce is sprayed via two water pipes connected to fresh and/or recycled water. The polishing intensity can be controlled by managing drum and brush rotating speeds and adjusting out-feed gate position. Produce is out-fed down a PVC chute with minimal drop to ensure a smooth transition to your next piece of equipment.
