Wyma partnerships ready to bear fruit

Wyma Solutions, based in Christchurch, is a globally recognized solution provider for root vegetable packing facilities. Our reputation for innovative, customized and robust post-harvest vegetable processing solutions has been well established for many years, and we have partnerships with several vendors that complement our own products to offer complete pack-house solutions.

Much of the equipment supplied by our three partners – Burg, Manter and Divel – is for the fruit packing industry. These partnerships allow the Wyma team to take our vegetable handling expertise and experience into the fruit world. Wyma has enjoyed relationships with these three companies for several years, working with them on the development and delivery of multiple installations across Australasia and globally (with more currently underway).

Burg Machinefabriek, founded in 1954, enjoys a strong reputation for multiple packing line products including hydro-filling, gentle dry filling, automated box handling, brushing and waxing, and palletizing systems. A key player in the development of automation for fruit processing since they were founded, the Burg team provides their customers with the best possible solutions in automation and optimization for fruit sorting, packaging and logistics.

Apples in a flume.

Manter International B.V. specializes in weighing and packing systems across multiple industries. For fruit processing, Manter’s multihead weighers, soft fill baggers, and punnet and clamshell fillers complement Wyma’s handling equipment to flesh out a fruit processing line solution.

Divel has 17 years of experience as a supplier of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), positioners and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS). This cutting-edge technology is still in its early days in the fruit and vegetable packing shed sector, but as it matures it is becoming more compelling than ever.

We know better than most that bruising is the enemy for vegetable producers, and we’ve worked hard to ensure our equipment is up to the task of preserving the integrity of your harvest without compromising efficiency and reliability. Combining our world-leading handling technology – including filling, tipping and conveying equipment – with the high-quality solutions of our partners allows us to bring our practical expertise and local knowledge to a new group of growers in the region. We can’t wait to show more fruit growers just how effective our solutions can be when processing delicate produce, delivering quality that you – and more importantly your customers – will immediately notice.

Get in touch with us today to learn more about how Wyma can work with Burg, Manter and Divel to provide you with the best customized fruit processing solution available.
