2021 has proven to be another eventful year for Wyma. On top of the many challenges remaining from 2020, the year brought new ones of its own. Despite this, it has been another year of growth and success, thanks to the support from our staff, customers, and partners around the world. For that, I would like to take this opportunity to express once again my sincere thanks to everyone for supporting Wyma and for allowing us to support you.
This year we have reached several notable milestones. We held celebrations for a number of staff who have been with Wyma for 15 to 20 years. We were also awarded one of our largest jobs to date: designing and manufacturing what will be one of the world’s most innovative, quality-focused and efficient potato processing facilities.
COVID-19 continued to be one of the key challenges this year, both for Wyma and our customers. The health and safety of our families, friends, colleagues, and customers remains a top priority. Wyma is continually taking steps to ensure we provide an environment that is healthy and safe, whether it be on site or off site.
In addition to the issues raised by the pandemic, our customers in the fruit and vegetable market are also facing increasingly difficult market conditions. We are keenly aware of these challenges and are proud to have made a difference for our customers this year by developing and delivering innovative and unique solutions.
The new year may bring challenges of its own, but I am confident with the resilience our customers and staff have shown that we will rise to meet them. I look forward to even stronger collaboration and innovation alongside our customers, from the smallest spare part to the next line solution, and everything in between.
As always, please do not hesitate to get in touch if we can be of assistance.
Merry Christmas and have a safe and happy New Year.
Warm regards,
Andrew Barclay
Managing Director
