Wyma has a comprehensive design facility with engineering and draughting expertise. Wyma’s experienced engineers use the latest two dimensional Autocad software and 3D modelling Inventor software in all aspects of equipment layout and design.
Electrical Control Systems
Wyma has an in-house electrical and automation division specialising in industrial installations, controls and servicing.
Wyma electrical technicians have done a significant number of electrical and automation projects worldwide, and their expertise extends from simple start button controls to fully automated touch screen based PLC systems.
Wyma’s manufacturing team delivers efficiency and quality to global customers. Modern equipment, qualified and experienced staff, Lean manufacturing techniques and H&S initiatives ensure customers quality, timeframes and budgetary expectations are met. Wyma supplements in-house capabilities with a broad range of outsourcing to meet most manufacturing requirements.
Raw Material Cutting
The cutting area can cut mild steel and stainless steel RHS, tubes and angles. Wyma operates a guillotine able to cut steel up to 3 metres wide and 6mm thick. Wyma’s cutting facilities also operate a cold saw, two drop saws, a plasma cutter and 5 inch grinders to cut standard and custom shapes.
Wyma has in-house capabilities to cut, fold and fabricate stainless steel, mild steel and alloys. This department is equipped with a modern press brake (3.7m width by 6mm material thickness) and a guillotine (3m width by 6mm material thickness).
Wyma uses a combination of MIG, TIG and pulse welding techniques for small to large structural components. Wyma also operates a robotic welder able to be programmed for standard and bespoke welding processes. The robotic welder can operate with mild steel, stainless steel and alloys.
Milling and Turning
The machine area can shape stainless steel, mild steel, alloys and composites using Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) Lathe and other specialist turning equipment such as a manual Scott Lathe and a Lux Cut Mill.
Fabrication and Assembly
Wyma has significant experience in light and heavy fabrication and assembly. Wyma's experienced and qualified staff have demonstrated their ability to work to optimum quality standards and time efficiencies. Wyma had one fabrication factory and one assembly factory, both equipped with the latest manufacturing technologies. Multiple overhead gantry cranes (three five-tonne and one eight-tonne) are used for internal movements and container or truck loading.
A high-quality surface coating and painting process takes place in Wyma’s in-house facility to provide superior corrosion protection for mild steel. The below steps can be achieved:
- Grit blasting
- Zinc arc spray
- Primer and paint application
For stainless steel, Wyma has the capability to provide either an acid wash or a bead blast finish.
