Description

Slipsheet dispensers automatically place a cardboard, rubber or plastic sheet on top of the empty pallet ready to be stacked and/or between the layers of bags, boxes or crates if required. Slipsheet dispensers are highly recommended where the top of the pallet may damage the first stack layer of bags or boxes, and where there are risks of bag/box/crate content leaking. Depending on exporting requirements, rubber slipsheet may have to replace standard pallets.

Slipsheets can be presented on a roll or on a stack of pre-cut sheets. When presented on a roll, the slipsheet dispenser is placed horizontally above the roller conveyor transporting the pallet to the palletiser. As the pallet passes through, a pre-determined slipsheet is laid on top of the pallet and a circular knife cuts through the roll width at the required point.

When the slipsheet dispenser operates from a sheet stack, vacuum cups mounted on a light frame lift up the first sheet on top of the stack. The frame then moves horizontally to place the picked-up slipsheet on the pallet.  The empty frame then moves back to original position to repeat the process.

Where the customer requires a protective sheet in between each layer, the slipsheet dispenser will be mounted on a standing frame and elevated in between the top of the stacking cage and the sliding doors. A robotic arm would roll out the sheet and place it in between layers.
