In 2003 we installed a Wyma Vege-Polisher in our carrot line at Hillside Gardens. We were amazed at the results. The carrots were much cleaner and had a very bright looking appearance. We immediately ordered a second polisher for our other carrot line. With these results, we reasoned that Wyma must have good quality equipment and in 2004 we ordered an entire carrot line. Again, we were impressed, especially with their Lift-Roller Sizer and the quality of their workmanship.

The whole potato wash line works so well. Wyma came all the way from New Zealand, listened to us, went back to New Zealand, designed the line, built it, pre-assembled it. They came back here and installed it and everything just fits together. In comparison, we bought a couple of minor components from a local supplier who operates 15 minutes from where we are and when they came to do their part, nothing fitted.... We are 100% happy with what we have got. We got as close to perfect as what we'd hope for....We have made huge savings in contract labour following the installation of the new potato wash line. It was a quick payback for us.

After scouring the industry unsuccessfully for a suitable "off the shelf" bin tipping system, i approached Wyma and asked if they may be interested in developing some form of cassette bin tipping system for us that would increase our bin tipping capability and at the same time improve how we handle the product. I had dealt with Wyma previously and was impressed with their workmanship, keenness to innovate but most importantly preparedness to listen and work with the customer. They don't sign off the job as completed until Wyma and the customer are satisfied. From the seed of an idea, Wyma have produced a fully functionning unit that is meeting targets that we set. i think the system is ingenious and the invitation is open to see it in operation.
